25 September 2023:

In Class:  Fields, Isolines, and Gradients.  (Review Book page 26)

Expectations:  Students will be able to read field values from isolines on maps and charts and then calculate gradients using the gradient formula.

Due:  Review Book pages 24-25 (12-24).

Homework:  Review Book page 27 (25-28).

26 September 2023:

In Class:  Mapping Earth's Surface.  (Review Book pages 27-30)

Begin Unit 2 Review.  Do Practice Questions pages 32-36 (1-42).

Expectations:  Students will be able to read contour maps, match contours to profiles.

Due:  Review Book page 27 (25-28).

Homework:  Review Book page 31 (29-42).  Study for Topic 2 Exam.

27 September 2023:

No Class:  Earth Science does not meet on Wednesdays.

28 September 2023:

Lab:  Do the Size and Shape of Earth Lab.

Expectations:  Students will be able to Research data on the size of the Earth, calculate ratios of diameters and calculate scales.

29 September 2023:

In Class:  Review for Topic 1 & 2 exam by reviewing the practice questions on pages 13-16 and by doing a Practice Test.

Expectations:  Students are reviewing for the Topic 1 Exam.

Due:  Review Book page 31 (29-42).

Homework:  Study for the Topic 1 & 2 Exam.  Finish the Practice Test.
