IC 4715 or Messier 24
IC 4715, M24, is sometimes considered an open cluster
in Sagittarius but it is actually a window through the
dust clouds in the Milky Way that allows us to see
stars from the far side of our galaxy. NGC 6603,
a true open cluster, is also visible just above
and to the left of center.
