M17 (the Omega Nebula), M18, and M24
IC 4715, M24, is sometimes considered an open cluster
in Sagittarius but it is actually a window through the
dust clouds in the Milky Way that allows us to see
stars from the far side of our galaxy. NGC 6603,
a true open cluster, is also visible just below
and to the right of center. In the bottom
left corner is M17, the Omega Nebula.
