A Full Supermoon
A 99.6% Illuminated Moon in Capricorn
Luna is a 14.9 day old full supermoon, the first in August, 2023.
At 2:00 a.m. EDT, the moon's altitude was 29° so its light was highly
filtered by the atmosphere. There was also smoke in the air that evening.
The color is balanced to match the perceived color at the time the
picture was taken. The view is rotated to match 42° North.
